Mobile WiMAX Network
In March 2008, NUI Maynooth and the SFI Funded Centre for Telecommunications Value Chain Research (CTVR) finalised installation of a 802.16e Mobile WiMAX multi-basestation network with the excellent assistance of Alcatel Lucent. This network will be used to provide educational services to our students without the campus and the town of Maynooth, and also as infrastructure for a range of WiMAX related research projects.
